Silicone Rubber NV is cold vulcanising, solvent-free, low viscous * highly elastic, especially suitable for the production of negative molds with slight undercuts and complicated shapes. Suitable for the impression of nearly all materials.
Tip: Pre-varnish models made of porous material with glossy clear coat (if necessary, fill in, sand)
that's how it works:
- Mixing ratio 100% silicone rubber to 2.5% catalyst
- Example: stir well 100g silicone rubber with 2-3g catalyst (1g = 40 drops) about 100 drops of catalyst
- Processing time at 20 ° approx. 20 min.
- Place the original model in a molding vessel, possibly fix it to the floor with double-sided adhesive tape
- Then coat with rubber thinly to avoid air bubbles (inclusions)
- Now coat the model with rubber and let it harden.
- Hardening time at 20 ° 3-4 hours, then remove the mold from the impression vessel (support mold) and carefully remove the model.
- After shaping, leave the mold to store for approx. 3-4 days
- Now the mold can be poured out with any casting compound and, if properly used, can be used well over 100 times.
- shelf life of up to 12 months
* low viscosity = flowable
